IP & Surveillance Cameras

how swift does cameras differently

All cameras installed are IP66 rated. An IP66 camera has a solid housing that provides complete protection to the dust and powerful water jets, meaning it could stand the heavy rain, wind and snow outdoors. That allows us to install surveillance cameras in all environments with full confidence their expected life will exceed expectations.

Swift will not sell battery operated, wifi connected, or other novelty cameras. Our focus is to design and install robust systems that will last the test of time in the most extreme environments. All cameras include WDR (wide dynamic range) at high resolution (up to 2688 x 1520 resolution @ 30 fps), a feature that is not reliable on cameras connected wirelessly.

Vandal Proof enclosures are standard on all cameras. Vandal proof security cameras are ruggedly built to withstand direct blows to their solid metal housings and tough poly-carbonate lens covers. This robust covers also make it difficult for unwanted adjustments to be made to the camera's field of view by requiring a special tool to access the inside of the vandal proof camera housing.

Why Swift can help with IP Cameras

  • We understand rural properties need someone or something watching when you are not around. IP Cameras allow you to view remotely, record all motion, and safely play it back when required. Watch your yard and driveway and see what is going on at anytime with live view!
  • Swift is really good at cabling in all environments. Our install techs spend every day cabling in the most extreme and unique conditions, from agriculture applications to large commercial buildings and pristine homes. Our crews not only know how to cable with aesthetics in mind, we can install safely at heights.
  • Experience is key. Our techs install hundreds of cameras annually. From firmware to multi building installs, our staff know where the bugs to each unique install will lie and how to navigate all the options for the most robust installation and ease of use situation possible.

Ag Specific Camera Installations

  • Indoor or Ourdoor, the camera hardware has to be ready for high moisture and high ammonia environments. With a history in the dairy world, Swift's ownership has a great understanding of barn conditions and the requirement to have all hardware waterproof as cleaning facilities happens often.
  • The most common locations for camera installs in Ag facilities include:
    • Calving Pens
    • Driveways onto the Farm Site
    • Entrances to Staff Areas
    • Fuel Tanks
    • Maintenance and Tools Shop
    • Bulk Tanks or Cooler Rooms
  • With automation comes a lack of firsthand presence. The ability to remotely view robotics in dairy becomes vital. The ability to see flock health in extreme conditions becomes vital. And because many farmers no longer live on the farm site, being able to check what is happening saves farm visits at inopportune times.
  • As agriculture facilities become larger and employ more staff, managing staff and operations becomes tougher to do. Cameras on key locations help with theft, both internal and external. Ensuring animal well being becomes vital as employers know employees less personally.

Below is a view of 4 cameras mounted in the center of the dairy barn to provide a 360* view of the animal living space.
