Vertical Tower Assets

Since 2014, Swift has been connecting rural residents and businesses to fixed wireless internet services. In doing so, we've had to learn the trade of creating height where there was none available. Since tower occupation has been our goal all along, Swift valued learning and completing with in-house labour when possible, and partnering when required.

Full Service Tower Removal

All antenna systems have a maximum life expectancy. Swift can ensure safe removal of abandoned communications towers.

Decommissioned towers often pose a safety risk to the public as well as to buildings and bystanders around due to a lack of annual inspections on both the base and the structure. Swift is able to safely demolish and remove these vacant structures. If demolition and removal of the concrete bases including guy points is not required, Swift will ensure all points are smooth and safe for the public to interact with.

Time Line Sensitive

With all construction done in house, Swift has the ability to turn around a tower project quickly! From design (wind and geo, engineering, and CSA stamp), to tower installation, to equipment installation, Swift can ensure your project can be completed on time, on budget, and within the highest of standards in Central Canada.

Consistent Climb Rescue Training

Video from October 2020

Swift delivers both Fixed Wireless and Fibre high speed broadband internet service to Southeast Manitoba. This video is an extended view of the process our rigging crews use to gain experience at high angle rescue! Swift currently has 9 certified tower climbers, training days like this occur every 3-6 months in order to ensure efficiency with rescue plans and gain familiarity with new safety equipment as it's received.

Tower Safety

Site and Risk Awareness

The purpose of tower safety and JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) is to prevent injury. Swift utilizes strict Working at Heights safety requirements and High Angle Rescue training procedures to ensure every job is done safely.

High Angle Rescue

Standby for Heights

The implementation and maintenance of a safe work environment is the collective responsibility of all employees and contractors. It is our company policy to have all riggers certified to perform a working at heights rescue to bring down a worker who has fallen and is suspended in a safety harness.

Step by Step Setup of 100' Non-CSA Tower
at Twisted Root RV Park in Marchand

In February of 2020 we began the installation of a tower at Twisted Root Campground in Marchand, MB, to bring service into the beautiful campground and RV park. Although Swift has completed many CSA tower installations, this was the first we captured start to finish through time lapse, stabilized mobile cam, and GoPro helmet mounted cameras.

Frost was only 16" deep and, despite the small footprint we had to work with in order to preserve the trees, installation went really well. This video is an extended view of the process our staff follow to setup a non-CSA 100' tower in the center of Canada during the middle of Winter!

Residential towers
